Sustainable Fashion Workshop: Tote Bag Making with CanvasVegan

At houseofshreem, we believe in sustainability and conscious fashion choices. As a zero-waste brand, we strive to utilize every piece of fabric waste creatively. In collaboration with CanvasVegan, we recently hosted a hands-on tote bag-making workshop, where participants designed their own tote bags using upcycled textiles. This event combined sustainability, creativity, and education, offering insights into textile selection, design thinking, and eco-friendly fashion.

The workshop began with an engaging session about our textiles, weaving techniques, and fabric selection for different climates. Attendees learned how handcrafted fabrics contribute to sustainability and why ethical fashion matters. Following this, we introduced the principles of design thinking, helping participants conceptualize unique and functional tote bag designs. Finally, everyone got hands-on experience creating their own upcycled tote bags, transforming discarded fabric into stylish, reusable accessories.
